Carpet of Adhesion

In order to minimize the absolute cheese of this particular spell, some specificity must be added to it. The spell can be cast against walls, ceilings, and floors in any size and shape described in the spell entry, but it turns the affected area into a “carpet”. It cannot be cast behind the trigger of a gun, inside body armor, or placed in any other manner that is not a normal place where one might install a carpet in their home. (I have seen carpets on the ceiling.) Anything that touches whatever is sticky, including the character himself, will be affected by the magic.

When a foot-mobile character encounters the carpet at speed, the character must make the normal Save vs. Magic to account for how long they are bound into the spell, but must also make a Maintain Balance check against the same Save vs. Magic target number in order to remain standing.
